About Me
Hi! My name is Kushi Manjegowda, and I am currently a senior at Monroe Township High School, New Jersey.
I hope to pursue a career in medicine, particularly in women’s health. My other areas of interest include global health and health policy. I look forward to taking my love of the biological sciences and incorporating it with my passion for service to not only help others as a physician but as a social entrepreneur. I strive to change patient care and the healthcare industry to a more equal and accessible system for all ages, gender, races, sexual-orientations, and socio-economical levels.
When I’m not at school, working on a research project, in a meeting for my non-profit Our Hearts United, on-call at the EMS station, at the rifle range, or eating at Chipotle, you can without a doubt find me on the couch watching The Office and napping with my dog, Subbu. I love to travel and explore new cultures, places, and foods, but I’m just as happy driving around my central Jersey suburban town with my best friends.
Mark Twain said it best with “the best way to cheer yourself up is to cheer somebody else up,” and that’s something I’ve always tried to exemplify. Most of all, no matter where I am or who I’m with, I aim to create joy through humor and wit always, but also through an ever so helping hand uplifting those around me.
